Dr Graeme Moore was born in Johannesburg and matriculated from Reddam House, Bedfordview in 2006. In 2007 he moved to Berkeley, California, U.S.A to pursue his swimming and academic aspirations. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science from The University of California, Berkeley in 2011, a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery from the University of the Witwatersrand in 2016. He obtained a distinction in Masters in Medicine in Orthopaedic Surgery from the University of the Witwatersrand in 2024. Following specialist training he became a Fellow of the College of Orthopaedic Surgeons of South Africa in 2025.  

Dr Graeme Moore is a retired South African Olympic swimmer specialising in the 50 and 100 freestyle having medalled at numerous World Cup meets, Pan Pacific Championships and Commonwealth Games ranking top 8 in the world in 2011 and 2012. He is a 12 time All-American and captained the UC Berkeley men’s swimming team to a national title in 2011. He has held numerous South African records and his career culminated in competing at the London 2012 Olympic Games for South Africa. 

Dr Graeme Moore has a special interest in sports orthopaedics and knee reconstruction and performs a variety of trauma, open and minimally invasive procedures.

Dr Moore is affiliated and a member of numerous national organisations namely:

- Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA)

Dr Moore is active in academia and attends numerous training courses throughout the year
